Council Liaison Holmes indicated the Elmer L. Andersen signs already have a <br /> map on them and did not understand why the maps from the proposed signs are different <br /> than the maps on the Elmer L. Andersen signs. Ms. Olson recapped that the PTRC had <br /> previously discussed whether to have the whole map as opposed to the zoomed in area <br /> and the members determined it would be nice to have the zoomed in area. Ms. Olson <br /> indicated she will have a mock up of some of the maps for Council and PTRC to view <br /> before going to the printer. Ms. Olson invited the PTRC members to attend the July 16 <br /> work session and reminded them about the all committee/commission barbeque on July <br /> 10. <br /> B. Naming Guidelines <br /> Ms. Olson recapped that at the last meeting Committee Member Peck had asked her to bring <br /> up the idea of naming the picnic shelter at Valentine Park after Committee Member Don <br /> Messerly. She indicated she has included the naming guidelines in their packet for review. <br /> Ms. Olson stated the PTRC could either make a motion tonight or wait until the September <br /> meeting so they can review the naming guidelines. <br /> MOTION: Committee Member Peck motioned that the PTRC move forward with dedicating <br /> the picnic park shelter, in the newly renovated Valentine Park, after long-term <br /> Committee Member Don Messerly. The motion was seconded by Committee <br /> Member Petersen. The motion carried unanimously(10-0). <br /> Ms. Olson asked Committee Member Peck on how he wanted to signify the dedication. • <br /> Committee Member Peck indicated he was envisioning some kind of plaque attached to the <br /> shelter, like the City has on the trail signs. <br /> Committee Member Messerly thanked the members for the gesture. <br /> C.
