• The EDC decided to put the City of Arden Hills logo on the first page of the
inside of the brochure and on the rear(bottom) of the cover.
The EDC concluded that the paper color used on the interior of the brochure
should match the City of Arden Hills' business cards (ie., tan paper with green
ink). The paper used should be of quality stock with texture.
A motion was made by Ray McGraw to present the marketing brochure to the
City Council on December 11, 1996, with the modifications as discussed, Jeanne
Winiecki seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
6. COUNCIL REPORT
Council Liaison Aplikowski stated that the City is in the process of hiring the
new full-time position building inspector.
The Lake Johanna Fire Department has completed the work on the lower
parking lot that was previously approved by the City Council.
The Fire Service contract will be reviewed in 1998.
The Council is working on the Joint Powers Agreement for the I-35W Coalition
• Corridor which will collaboratively work to: implement a Geographic
Information System (GIS); develop a joint economic development marketing
program; and coordinate transportation planning on the corridor.
The City's Truth-in-Taxation meeting will be held on December 5, 1996, at the
U.S. Army Reserve Center.
The City Council is planning to conduct a Town Hall meeting in January of
1997. The meeting place and format are currently being discussed by the City
Council.
7. MISCELLANEOUS
a. Welsh Companies
Welsh Companies is moving forward with their plans to construct a
Phase I building in the Gateway Business District. The construction of
Phase II (Pentair property) is also anticipated to begin in 1997.
b. TCAAP
The Army is finalizing its report on the clean up of the site. The EDC
concluded that it may be a good idea to re-visit the "Plan" once the Army
decides what portions and to what levels of clean up is going to occur on
TCAAP.
