• The EDC decided to put the City of Arden Hills logo on the first page of the <br /> inside of the brochure and on the rear(bottom) of the cover. <br /> The EDC concluded that the paper color used on the interior of the brochure <br /> should match the City of Arden Hills' business cards (ie., tan paper with green <br /> ink). The paper used should be of quality stock with texture. <br /> A motion was made by Ray McGraw to present the marketing brochure to the <br /> City Council on December 11, 1996, with the modifications as discussed, Jeanne <br /> Winiecki seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 6. COUNCIL REPORT <br /> Council Liaison Aplikowski stated that the City is in the process of hiring the <br /> new full-time position building inspector. <br /> The Lake Johanna Fire Department has completed the work on the lower <br /> parking lot that was previously approved by the City Council. <br /> The Fire Service contract will be reviewed in 1998. <br /> The Council is working on the Joint Powers Agreement for the I-35W Coalition <br /> • Corridor which will collaboratively work to: implement a Geographic <br /> Information System (GIS); develop a joint economic development marketing <br /> program; and coordinate transportation planning on the corridor. <br /> The City's Truth-in-Taxation meeting will be held on December 5, 1996, at the <br /> U.S. Army Reserve Center. <br /> The City Council is planning to conduct a Town Hall meeting in January of <br /> 1997. The meeting place and format are currently being discussed by the City <br /> Council. <br /> 7. MISCELLANEOUS <br /> a. Welsh Companies <br /> Welsh Companies is moving forward with their plans to construct a <br /> Phase I building in the Gateway Business District. The construction of <br /> Phase II (Pentair property) is also anticipated to begin in 1997. <br /> b. TCAAP <br /> The Army is finalizing its report on the clean up of the site. The EDC <br /> concluded that it may be a good idea to re-visit the "Plan" once the Army <br /> decides what portions and to what levels of clean up is going to occur on <br /> TCAAP. <br />
