u. <br /> MINUTES <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 1996 <br /> 8:00 A.M. <br /> ARMY RESERVE CENTER <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:05 a.m. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> Present were: Dan McCallum, Chair; Ray McGraw, Vice Chair; Arnold <br /> Lindberg; Steve Freimuth; Tom Goblirsch; Jeanne Winiecki; Tom <br /> Andreason; Ted Brausen; Council Liaison, Beverly Aplikowski; and <br /> Kevin Ringwald, Community Development Director. <br /> Others present were: Tom Steele, Finance Committee Liaison; Brian <br /> Schoberg, Mounds View EDC; and Julie Tostenson, Department <br /> Secretary. <br /> Absent were: Terry Nagle and Brian Fritsinger, City Administrator. <br /> 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Minutes from the July 24, 1996 meeting were approved, following a <br /> motion made by Ray McGraw and seconded by Arnold Lindberg <br /> 4. MARKETING BROCHURE <br /> The front cover of the marketing brochure was discussed and it was <br /> decided that the layout of the front cover would remain the same, as what <br /> I <br /> was on the draft copy. It was suggested that an alternate picture be <br /> provided for the lower photograph. The layout of the back cover of the <br /> brochure would remain the same. It was suggested that a picture with less <br /> shading be provided for the residential photograph on the back cover. <br /> The map that would go on the inside cover of the brochure was discussed. <br /> It was decided to go with the map which provided less detail and showed <br /> just the principal interstate system. It was determined that the map should <br /> show how many minutes it would take to get to four (4) main destinations <br /> in the Twin Cities to or from Arden Hills.
