Southeast Region and Twin Cities Area Lead at New Job Creation <br /> During the summer, rapid growth of manufacturing and local service companies produced the <br /> � <br /> highest rate of new job creation for the Southeast region and Twin Cities area. Manufacturers <br /> of food products, medical instruments and other technology-intense products expanded <br /> iv <br /> ?r • <br /> ww significantly in these regions. Hospitals and business service companies also posted major <br /> expansions during this quarter. In the Northwest region, manufacturing companies continued <br /> expansion hirings. Construction businesses expanded in all seven regions of the state. <br /> Regional Retail trade start-ups in the Northeast, West Central and Central regions continued strong <br /> Analysis since first quarter of 1995.
