Job Losses from Business Dissolutions Remained Low <br /> Since the summer of 1994, Minnesota businesses maintained low rates of job loss from <br /> business dissolutions in all seven regions. There were fewer manufacturing business <br /> • dissolutions during this quarter (59 businesses) and most losses occurred in the Twin Cities <br /> area (42 businesses). However, business closings were prevalent among small retail trade and <br /> service companies. <br /> Major contractions among business service companies and amusement and recreation <br /> businesses led to a doubling of job losses in the service industry during this quarter.
