UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 8, 2013 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Terry Maurer, Public Works Director <br />John Anderson, Assistant City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2013 Pavement Management Program (PMP) <br /> <br />Resolution Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of <br />assessment Roll <br /> <br />Resolution Setting Assessment Hearing Date <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br />$1,700,000 $937,523.26 PIR, Sanitary Sewer, Water <br />and Surface Water Enterprise <br />Funds and Assessments <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />The City Council is requested to adopt the following two resolutions regarding the 2013 PMP <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2013-017 Declaring Cost to be Assessed and Ordering Preparation of <br />Assessment Roll <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2013-018 Setting the Date for Assessment Hearing <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On March 11, 2013, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2013-014 Approving the Plans and <br />Specifications and Ordering the Advertisement for Bids. Bids were solicited during March and <br />opened on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. <br /> <br />A portion of the costs for the 2013 PMP project are proposed to be assessed against the <br /> In order to assess these costs, <br />the City must follow the process outlined in State Statute 429. The next step in the process after <br />the bids are opened is to declare the amount of the cost to be assessed and set the date for the <br />assessment hearing.
