ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 28, 2013 5 Deputy Clerk Dietl stated that a premise permit application from the Spring Lake Park Lions for originally brought to the Council on November 26, 2012, for consideration at which time the item was tabled for further discussion. After several work sessions and considerable discussion regarding Section 330.02 Gambling of the City Code, the review process of City Code is now complete and a decision may be made regarding the application. Deputy Clerk Dietl commented that a successful background check has been completed by the Ramsey Cotaff is in possession of all necessary paperwork required of the Spring Lake Park Lions. The motion carried (5-0). 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Werner thanked the Public Works staff for fixing the watermain break in the Valentine Hills area over the weekend. Staff responded Friday night and quickly finished up the repairs on Saturday morning. Councilmember Holden noted that there was information in the Admin Update regarding the e noted that one thing not mentioned is the work the City has done to assist with the creation of a monetary financial policy, which was adopted at their board meeting. Councilmember Holden expressed concern over the 2013 Water, Sewer, Surface Water Management Rule mailing that she received. She stated that it is unclear what the rates were and what they went up to. She noted that when sending information, it would be helpful to include comparative data. Councilmember Holmes also commented on the watermain break. She noted that this was the first time she used the Public Works on-call phone list. She indicated that it was well-organized and the Public Works staff she spoke with was pleasant and accommodating. Staff called her with an update once they had more information regarding the progress of the repairs, which allowed her to return calls received from residents inquiring about the watermain break. Mayor Grant commented on the census he received from the US Department of Commerce. He is passing it on to staffso it can be completed and returned to the Census Bureau. Mayor Grant to a City Council work session to discuss TCAAP. He indicated that it is a public meeting and anyone interested in staying for the meeting is welcome. ADJOURN
