<br />Subd. 3. <br />Special Regulations in the P/OS District: <br /> <br /> <br />A.The City shall strive to protect and enhance the parks and open space <br />system, and shall seek to increase the amount of park and open space land, <br />considering the public needs along with acquisition and maintenance <br />costs. <br /> <br />B.Uses within the P/OS District may not impede the use of adjoining <br />properties. <br /> <br /> <br />C.If the City determines in its review of site and building plans for <br />developments within the P/OS District that the protection of natural <br />features requires certain performance standards, the City may require <br />additional development standards to protect those features. <br /> <br /> <br />D.All renovations must be in compliance with the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. <br /> <br /> <br />1320.14 Park Preserve (PP) District <br />Special Requirements for the . <br />The Park Preserve District is intended to apply to valuable natural and scenic areas which are to <br />be preserved for public use or private open space. The park preserve district may be applied to <br />either publicly or privately owned land. Areas included in the district are to be kept undeveloped <br />due to restrictive water tables, drainage and soil conditions, topography, significant and valuable <br />vegetation or wildlife habitat, and/or unique natural features. <br /> <br />Subd. 1 <br />Permitted Uses. The following uses are permitted within the PP District: <br /> <br /> <br />A.Public and private permanent open space. <br /> <br />B.Public and private natural conservation and wildlife management <br />areas. <br /> <br />C.Nature study areas and arboretums. <br /> <br />D.Recreational trail systems. <br /> <br />E.Any facility, building, or structure controlled by either the Minnesota <br />National Guard or Army Reserve located on the Arden Hills Army <br />Training Site. <br /> <br />F.Any use or activity carried out by either the Minnesota National Guard <br />or the Army Reserve on the Arden Hills Army Training Site. <br /> <br /> <br />
