7 <br />CommissionerHamesmoved,secondedbyCommissionerZimmerman,toamendthe <br />motion,tostrikeconditions#7and#8anddirectstafftorewordtheconditionstodirectthe <br />landownerstoreachanagreementontheshareddriveway.Themotiontoamendcarried <br />unanimously (6-0). <br />CommissionerScottstatedhewantstoseethisprojectgoforwardbutishesitantonthesquare <br />footageoftheunits.Heaskedwhetherthereisabackupplanfortheefficiencyunitsifthey <br />rented.Mr.Davidsonstatedasthisprojecthasevolved,theyhavelookedatwhothe <br />targetmarketisanditwasdeterminedtobestudents.Theunitsproposedareexactlythesame <br />squarefootageasnewstudenthousingconstruction.Mr.Davidsonnotedthereisapossibilityof <br />combining two efficiency units into a one bedroom. <br />CommissionerThompsonstatedsheappreciatesthetrueMasterPlanapproachtothisproject <br />withthedetailprovided.CommissionerHolewaconcurredwithCommissioner <br />comment. <br />The motion for approval carried unanimously (6-0). <br />REPORTS <br />A.Report from the City Council <br />CouncilmemberHolmesreportedattheCityOctober29,2012RegularMeetingthe <br />Council,ona4-1(Holdendissenting)vote,liftedtheCity-widemoratoriumonmulti-family <br />dwellingunits.ShealsoreportedtheCityCouncilvotedunanimouslytoapprovePlanningCase <br />12-015foraZoningCodeAmendmentandCUPApplicationat1260RedFoxRoadtoallowa <br />microbrewery with taproom. <br />CouncilmemberHolmesreportedattheirNovember13,2012WorkSession,theCityCouncil <br />discussedaproposalfromSandCompanies,Inc.toamendtheirdevelopmentagreementforthe <br />developmentoftheArdenVillageapartmentBuildingat1245CountyRoadF.SandCompanies <br />isrequestingtoconverttheirproposeddevelopmentfromaffordableworkforcehousingunitsto <br />marketrateunits.Fourunitswouldremainaffordable.Aspartoftheproposal,SandCompanies <br />isalsoproposingtoincreasethenumberofunitsinthebuildingfrom55to60.Thebuilding <br />footprintwouldremainthesame,asseveral3-bedroomunitswouldbeconvertedto1-and2- <br />bedroom units.
