ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JUNE 10, 2013 5 <br />MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Werner seconded a <br />motion to Adopt Resolution #2013-027, Awarding the 2013 Sanitary Sewer <br />Lining base bid plus a portion of Alternate Bid B to SAK Construction LLC <br />in the amount of $625,526.05. The motion carried (5-0). <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Grant <br /> commented that earlier this evening, the Council appointed a new City Planner <br />named Ryan Streff. He welcomed Mr. Streff to the City of Arden Hills. <br />Mayor Grant <br /> indicated that he received a letter from a gentleman in Texas thanking the Lake <br />Johanna Fire Department and the City of Arden Hills for providing necessary emergency care to <br />his son. <br />Councilmember Werner <br /> stated he would be out of town next week and will not be attending the <br />th <br />June 17 work session meeting. <br />Councilmember Holden <br /> requested that staff provide an update to the Council on the Round Lake <br />project at a future meeting. <br />Councilmember Holden <br />noted that Sand Companies has begun developing their apartment <br />building. <br />Councilmember Holden <br />encouraged staff to speak with the business owners regarding their <br />grass in the B-2 business district. <br />Councilmember Holmes <br /> stated that in 2013, Legislation was approved whereby cities will not <br />need to pay sales tax for city purchases beginning in 2014. <br />th <br />Councilmember Holmes <br />indicated that there would be a farewell celebration on June 18 at <br />rd <br />Aldrich Arena for the 203 Transportation Company. <br />ADJOURN <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br />adjourn to a closed work session for the annual performance review of the <br />City Administrator.
