He does not want to see the request held up. <br /> Councilmember Werner supported the application. <br /> Councilmember Holmes had concerns, but appreciated tonight's comments provided by Bethel. <br /> For this reason, she supports staff's recommendations. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to approve Ordinance 2013-007 in Planning Case 13-008 to amend <br /> Section 1320.05 of the Zoning Code regarding Schools for Higher Education, <br /> as presented in the June 24, 2013, report to the City Council. The motion <br /> carried (5-0). <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to approve publishing a summary of Ordinance 2013-007. The <br /> motion carried (5-0). <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Werner seconded a <br /> motion to approve Planning Case 13-008 for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) <br /> at 2 Pine Tree Drive to allow a higher education use as a tenant in the office <br /> building located at 2 Pine Tree Drive, based on the findings of fact and <br /> submitted plans, as amended by the conditions of approval as presented in the <br /> June 24, 2013, report to the City Council. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to extend the City Council meeting for 15 minutes. The motion <br /> carried (4-1) (McClung opposed). <br /> C. 1201 County Road E Amendment and Sign Plan <br /> Community Development Intern Bachler stated that the applicant has requested a Planned Unit <br /> Development (PUD) Amendment for a site-wide master sign plan to install monument, wall, and <br /> auxiliary signs at 1201 County Road E. <br /> Community Development Intern Bachler explained that on December 21, 2012, the City <br /> Council approved a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to remodel the existing structure at 1201 <br /> County Road E and construct 74 residential unit apartments and approximately 20,000 square feet <br /> of specialty retail space on the site in Planning Case 12-019. A signage plan for the property was <br /> not included in the approved PUD. <br /> Community Development Intern Bachler noted that two monument signs are proposed for the <br /> principal land uses on the property: the E Street Flats residential apartment building and the E <br /> Street retail stores. The sign copy area of the E Street Flats sign would measure 6.4 feet wide by 8 <br /> feet tall, or 51.2 square feet. The E Street Shoppes sign would also measure 6.4 feet wide by 8 feet <br /> tall, or 51.2 square feet. Both signs would sit on a two foot tall stone base designed to match the <br />
