ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 12, 2013 5 <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a motion to <br />authorize staff to enter into a contract with North Metro Asphalt and <br />Contracting for the street and trail maintenance based on their quote of <br />$59,842 and offer flexibility for staff to spend up to the budgeted amount <br />within the CIP and then report back to the Council informing them of where <br />additional work was performed. The motion carried (4-0). <br /> <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A.Amendment to Kimley Horn Contract for TCAAP Master Plan <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br />stated that on April 29, 2013, the Council approved a contract <br />with Kimley Horn for the TCAAP Master Planning process in the amount of $426,004. This <br />work is being entirely funded by the City. Recently, City staff was approached by Ramsey County <br />staff asking if the Council would consider adding an amendment to the contract for the analysis <br />and concept layout for two interchanges (Highway 96 and County Road H) on I-35W. It was <br />noted that Ramsey County will fund the expense for the amendment to the contract. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> reviewed the reasons behind the amendment in further detail <br />with the Council. He explained that the proposed amendment to the contract has been reviewed <br />taff recommends approval of the Kimley Horn contract amendment. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden <br /> asked if Ramsey County will be billed for their portion of the contract. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br />indicated that the County will be billed and will be responsible <br />for their portion of the contract. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant <br /> questioned how the costs for the original contract and Amendment #1 would be <br />split between the City and the County. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Maurer <br /> stated that the tasks for the original contract and the amendment <br />will be separated on the Kimley Horn invoices. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Werner moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to authorize Amendment #1 to the Kimley Horn contract in the <br /> <br />
