City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy Effective August 26, 2003 <br /> <br />REMEDIAL ACTION <br /> <br />Any employee who feels he/she is being subjected to discriminati <br />inappropriate behavior should immediately contact: their immediate supervisor, or the City <br />Administrator. If the accused person is the City Administrator, an employee may also c <br />the Mayor. The employee is encouraged to speak with any of the p <br />whom they feel the most comfortable. Complaints of discriminatio <br />inappropriate behavior will be kept as confidential as possible while the matte <br />investigated and promptly dealt with. <br /> <br />1. Investigation. When making a complaint, the employee should be prepared to <br />provide the following information. <br /> <br />Employee's name, department and position title. <br /> <br />The name of the person or persons committing the discrimination, <br />harassment and/or inappropriate behavior, including their title(s), if <br />known. <br /> <br />The specific nature of the discrimination, harassment and/or <br />inappropriate behavior, how long it has gone on, and any employment <br />action (demotion, failure to promote, dismissal, refusal to hire <br />etc.) taken against the complainant as a result of the discrimin <br />harassment and/or inappropriate behavior. <br /> <br />Witness(es) to the discrimination, harassment and/or inappropriate <br />behavior. <br /> <br />Whether the complainant has previously reported or discussed suc <br />discrimination, harassment and/or inappropriate behavior and if <br />to whom, or with whom. <br /> <br />When an allegation of discrimination, harassment and/or inappropriate <br />behavior is made by any employee, the person to whom the complai <br />shall immediately prepare a written report of the complaint acco <br />preceding section and submit it to the City Administrator. In the event the <br />discrimination, harassment and/or inappropriate behavior complai <br />the City Administrator, the report shall be submitted to the Mayor. The <br />employee who is accused of discrimination, harassment and/or ina <br />behavior may be placed on administrative leave while the investigation is being <br />conducted. An investigation of the complaint of discrimination, <br />and/or inappropriate behavior will be investigated and a written <br />completed by the investigator. <br /> <br /> <br /> 44 <br />
