City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy Effective August 26, 2003 <br /> <br />COMPENSATION <br /> <br />Setting of Salaries <br />Salaries for all City employees are set by City Council, based o <br />City Administrator. <br /> <br />Pay Date <br />It is the policy of the City of Arden Hills to compensate employees for service on a bi-weekly <br />basis. Pay period shall extend for a 14-day work period beginning on Saturday and ending on <br />Friday. When a pay date falls on an official holiday, emp <br />checks on the last working day before the holiday. <br /> <br />Overtime/Compensatory Time <br />It is recognized that in order to maintain basic services under unusual circumstance <br />emergencies, and peak workloads, employees may be required to wo <br /> <br />Overtime/Compensatory Time will be paid for all supervisor appro <br />forty (40) hours per week at the rate of 1½ times the employee's regular hourly rate. When <br />computing hours worked - if an employee takes Personal Time Off during the week that <br />he/she works more than 8 hours a day, he/she is not eligible for <br />during that week. <br /> <br />The supervisor must pre-approve overtime unless an emergency arises. <br /> <br />BENEFITS <br /> <br />Insurance <br />All regular full time and regular part time employees shall be required to participate in the <br />rograms.
