ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—OCTOBER 28, 2013 14
difficult for Bethel to provide comment on how the phasing would work as suggested by the
Council as Bethel was proposing to move entire departments to the new facility and space needs
may be higher than 3,500 square feet.
Councilmember Holmes asked if the Council could reach an agreement with Bethel that Phase II
would not begin until the fall of 2015 or 2016.
Mr. Mazorol stated this was correct.
Ms. Nelson reported that Bethel had no plan to occupy the Pine Tree space with undergraduate
programs during the 2013-2014 or 2014-2015 school years. The amendment carried (5-0).
AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved a motion to add Condition 15 stating
there would be no overnight parking (from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.) on
the property.
Ms. Nelson indicated the Country Financial building was currently a multi-tenant building and
those employees may work late hours.
Councilmember Holden understood the main campus had a parking shortage.
