DNR Report <br />8-21 Jennifer Teegarden responded to an inquiry from Congressman Rick <br />are doing about EAB and are there any funds available to private landowners to h <br />Minnesota State Fair: 8-22 to 9-2 <br />Handed out a number of EAB literature at the state fair: 6,000 E <br />o <br />EAB Booklets; 1,000 Dont Move Firewood Bookmark; 500 EAB Posters; 2,000 Firewood Alert Brochures <br />Each day at the fair, DNR foresters answered numerous questions <br />o <br />Almost every day of the State Fair, a volunteer walked the DNR B <br />o <br />fans. <br />The Invasive Species Display featured an EAB infested ash tree <br />o <br />Aug. 27 Jana Albers provided an EAB update to the DNR Forestry Region Ma <br />Sept. 20 Mike Albers provided and EAB update and Insect & Disease trainin <br />Minnetonka borrowed the EAB costume for their open house on Oct. 8 <br /> <br />MITIGATION: <br />Sanitation: <br />St Paul recently marked 13 EAB-infested private trees and a few public trees. Luther Seminary r <br />infested trees on their property. <br /> <br />Biological Control: <br />EAB Bioagent releases concluded for the season on September 11, 2013. A tota <br />released at 14 sites in the state. Southeast Minnesota received <br />to the infestation level in the area and the lack of the other management tools to employ at the landscape level. <br />In a new effort aimed at speeding up the distribution and establ <br />released this year alone at three sites within the park bringingince September 2011 to over <br />40,000 bioagents.
