1209 County Road E for an ambulance substation based on the submitted plans and findings of <br />fact. The Planning Commission recommends the following six (6) conditions to be included with <br />the approval: <br /> <br /> <br />1.The project shall be completed in accordance with the plans submitted as amended by the <br />conditions of approval. Any significant changes to these plans, as determined by the City <br />Planner, shall require review and approval by the Planning Commission and City Council. <br /> <br />2.Emergency sirens shall not be used by ambulances until they are within forty (40) feet of the <br />County Road E right-of-way. <br /> <br />3.Ambulances shall use discretion when using emergency lights and sirens between the hours <br />of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., but shall always comply with applicable Minnesota statutes <br />relating to the operation of an authorized emergency vehicle. <br /> <br />4.No more than one ambulance shall be parked at the facility at any time. <br /> <br />5.Ambulances shall be parked indoors at all times. <br /> <br />6.The applicant shall request an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit for any increase in <br />square footage or in intensity of the ambulance dispatch facility use. <br /> <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Motion to approve Planning Case 14-005 for a Conditional Use Permit to allow Allina Health <br />Emergency Medical Services to operate an ambulance substation at 1209 County Road E, based <br />on the findings of fact and the submitted plans, as amended by the six (6) conditions in the <br />February 24, 2014, Report to the City Council. <br /> <br />Please note that approval of this planning case is contingent on the approval of the proposed <br /> <br />Zoning Code Amendment in Planning Case 14-004. <br /> <br /> <br />Options <br /> <br /> <br />1.Approve the proposal as submitted. <br /> <br />2.Approve the proposal with conditions (Recommended Action). <br /> <br />3.Deny the application with reasons for denial.
