ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JANUARY 13, 2014 15 <br /> AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Mayor Grant seconded an <br /> amendment revising the language within Condition 5 to read: If noise <br /> from the Boston Scientific campus exceeds MPCA noise regulations for <br /> residential areas at the property line, the applicant shall reduce noise <br /> levels in order to be in compliance with MPCA regulations. If the City <br /> receives complaints regarding noise levels, the applicant shall be <br /> responsible for providing decibel measurements from the property line <br /> and reducing noise levels to be in compliance with MPCA regulations. <br /> Councilmember McClung questioned what action the City could take if noise levels at Boston <br /> Scientific are being exceeded. <br /> Associate Planner Bachler indicated that the City would have to contact the MPCA to handle <br /> this situation. <br /> The amendment carried (5-0). <br /> The amended motion carried (5-0). <br /> 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Grant reminded everyone of the TCAAP open house to be held on Wednesday, January <br /> 22, 2014, at the Marsden Room of the Ramsey County Public Works facility. He reported that the <br /> Safe Routes to Schools program now includes high schools. He then discussed the pedestrian <br /> crossing at Lexington and I-694. He noted that he attended a meeting with the school board and <br /> superintendent last Wednesday along with neighboring Mayors and at this meeting he reviewed <br /> the draft TCAAP Master Plan. <br /> Councilmember Holmes discussed the proposed trail connection from Old Highway 10 to the <br /> TCAAP property. <br /> Councilmember Holmes reported that Title Boxing is holding a Grand Opening ceremony on <br /> January 23`d. <br /> Councilmember Holmes thanked Community Development Director Hutmacher for resolving <br /> the heat issue in the Council Chambers. <br /> Councilmember Holmes noted that she will be participating in a League of Minnesota Cities <br /> Webinar with City Administrator Klaers on January 14''. <br /> Councilmember Holden encouraged everyone to drive by the new gateway sign on County Road <br /> E2. <br />
