ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JANUARY 13, 2014 15 AMENDMENT: Councilmember Holden moved and Mayor Grant seconded an amendment revising the language within Condition 5 to read: If noise from the Boston Scientific campus exceeds MPCA noise regulations for residential areas at the property line, the applicant shall reduce noise levels in order to be in compliance with MPCA regulations. If the City receives complaints regarding noise levels, the applicant shall be responsible for providing decibel measurements from the property line and reducing noise levels to be in compliance with MPCA regulations. Councilmember McClung questioned what action the City could take if noise levels at Boston Scientific are being exceeded. Associate Planner Bachler indicated that the City would have to contact the MPCA to handle this situation. The amendment carried (5-0). The amended motion carried (5-0). 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS Mayor Grant reminded everyone of the TCAAP open house to be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Marsden Room of the Ramsey County Public Works facility. He reported that the Safe Routes to Schools program now includes high schools. He then discussed the pedestrian crossing at Lexington and I-694. He noted that he attended a meeting with the school board and superintendent last Wednesday along with neighboring Mayors and at this meeting he reviewed the draft TCAAP Master Plan. Councilmember Holmes discussed the proposed trail connection from Old Highway 10 to the TCAAP property. Councilmember Holmes reported that Title Boxing is holding a Grand Opening ceremony on January 23`d. Councilmember Holmes thanked Community Development Director Hutmacher for resolving the heat issue in the Council Chambers. Councilmember Holmes noted that she will be participating in a League of Minnesota Cities Webinar with City Administrator Klaers on January 14''. Councilmember Holden encouraged everyone to drive by the new gateway sign on County Road E2.
