ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—FEBRUARY 24, 2014 20 <br /> Councilmember McClung indicated that Ramsey County's definition of parks and open space <br /> was not in alignment with how this site was being used. He believed that the SSO would <br /> encourage additional after hours dumping. <br /> Mayor Grant stated that the potential for animals, increased odor and the closeness to residential <br /> homes were all concerns for him. <br /> The motion carried (5-0). <br /> Mayor Grant requested the City Attorney to draft written findings based on the discussion of the <br /> City Council. <br /> 9. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Holden recommended that staff investigate the cable concerns and report back <br /> to the Council. She discussed a recent article regarding senior playground equipment. <br /> Councilmember McClung indicated that the Ramsey County Friends of the Park was holding its <br /> annual tree sale. He reported that brochures were available at City Hall and additional <br /> information was available online. He encouraged residents to purchase a tree for the City. He <br /> noted that he would not be able to attend the City Council meeting on March 31 sc <br /> Mayor Grant stated that the City had a number of Ash trees and the City was working to <br /> diversify the tree stock within its parks. <br /> Councilmember Werner complimented the Public Works Department for keeping up with the <br /> snow and ice from the recent storms. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holmes moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br /> motion to adiourn.
