April 24, 2014 <br />Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />Sue Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br />Amy Dietl, City Clerk <br />Motion to Approve Hiring Public Works Seasonal Maintenance Workers <br />Motion to approve hiring Public Works Seasonal Maintenance Workers. <br />Each year, the City seeks Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to assist with the <br />maintenance of City streets, water, sewer, and parks. <br />Twenty one applications were received for the seasonal positions. Ten applicants were <br />interviewed by the Director of Finance and Administrative Services, the Public Works <br />Superintendent, and a Public Works Maintenance Worker. Eight individuals have been <br />identified to move forward in the hiring process. Background and reference checks are currently <br />being completed. <br />Staff recommends appointing Andrew Evans, Chad Goertzen, Matt Goertzen, Matt Harding, <br />Matthew Maile, Riley Plisek, Eriq Smith, and Austin Wikstrom to the position of Seasonal <br />Maintenance Worker; all of which are contingent upon successful background and reference <br />checks. <br />
