The applicant has provided a narrative explaining their request (Attachment A) and elevations of <br />the building depicting the existing signage (Attachment E). <br />Recommendation <br />Arden Villagewould be requiredto remove the temporary wall signage that is currently in place <br />on the Arden Flats apartment complex by July 1, 2014,if an extension is not grantedby the City <br />Council. At the January 27, 2014,City Council meeting Arden Village was granted a Sign <br />Standard Adjustment for two temporary banner signs that exceededthe size limitations and <br />length of time a temporary sign can be displayed. <br />Staff is recommending approval of Planning Case14-021 for a sixty (60) dayextension of the <br />temporary wall signage located at 1290 County Road F West subject to the following conditions: <br />1.That the two (2) temporary wall signsshall be removed by September 1, 2014. <br />2.All previous conditions of approval in Planning Case 13-023shall continue to apply. <br />Requested Action <br />Motion to approve Planning Case 14-021for a sixty (60) day extension of the temporary wall <br />signage at 1290 County Road F West, as amended by the two (2) conditions in the June 30, <br />2014, Report to the City Council. <br />Options <br />1.Approve the proposal as submitted. <br />2.Approve the proposal with conditions (Recommended Action). <br />3.Deny the application with reasons for denial. <br />4.Table for additional information. <br />Deadline for Agency Actions <br />The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on June 24, 2014. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City must act on this request by August 22, 2013,(60 <br />days), unless the City provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60-day <br />review period.
