The applicant has provided a narrative explaining their request (Attachment A) and elevations of the building depicting the existing signage (Attachment E). Recommendation Arden Villagewould be requiredto remove the temporary wall signage that is currently in place on the Arden Flats apartment complex by July 1, 2014,if an extension is not grantedby the City Council. At the January 27, 2014,City Council meeting Arden Village was granted a Sign Standard Adjustment for two temporary banner signs that exceededthe size limitations and length of time a temporary sign can be displayed. Staff is recommending approval of Planning Case14-021 for a sixty (60) dayextension of the temporary wall signage located at 1290 County Road F West subject to the following conditions: 1.That the two (2) temporary wall signsshall be removed by September 1, 2014. 2.All previous conditions of approval in Planning Case 13-023shall continue to apply. Requested Action Motion to approve Planning Case 14-021for a sixty (60) day extension of the temporary wall signage at 1290 County Road F West, as amended by the two (2) conditions in the June 30, 2014, Report to the City Council. Options 1.Approve the proposal as submitted. 2.Approve the proposal with conditions (Recommended Action). 3.Deny the application with reasons for denial. 4.Table for additional information. Deadline for Agency Actions The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on June 24, 2014. Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City must act on this request by August 22, 2013,(60 days), unless the City provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60-day review period. The City may, with the consent of the applicant, extend the review period beyond the initial 120 days.
