Structure Height – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The Zoning Code states that accessory structures in the R-1 District shall not exceed <br />fifteen (15) feet or the height of the principal structure to which it is accessory, whichever <br />is lower. The proposed structure constructed with a height of fourteen (14) feet would <br />not exceed this requirement. <br /> <br />E. Structure Size – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The Zoning Code states that accessory structures associated with residential uses shall not <br />exceed seven hundred and twenty-eight (728) square feet in floor area. The proposed <br />accessory structure constructed at 720 square feet in size would not exceed this <br />requirement. <br /> <br />F. Tree Preservation – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The proposed construction would impact four (4) evergreen trees on the property that <br />total 26.8 caliper inches. The tree inventory that has been prepared by the property <br />owner (Attachment D) shows that the lot has a total of 829 significant caliper inches. <br />Based on the calculations from the tree inventory less than 10% (or 82.9 caliper inches) <br />of the significant caliper inches will be removed with this project. If more than the 10% <br />are removed as a result of the project, the applicant will be required to meet the City’s <br />tree preservation standards, and mitigation may be necessary. <br /> <br /> <br />2.
