No light fixture shall produce glare clearly visible beyond a property line or that <br />crates a sensation within a visual field that causes annoyance, discomfort, or <br />impairment. <br /> <br />C. Light trespass limitations. Light fixtures shall be arranged to limit light trespass onto <br />adjoining properties and public streets. Any light or combination of lights shall not cast <br />light that exceeds a measurement of 1.0 footcandle on abutting commercial or industrial <br />property or 0.4 footcandles on abutting residential property, as measured at the property <br />line. In cases where a lot line abuts a public street, cast light shall not exceed a <br />measurement of 1.0 footcandle as measured at the street centerline. <br /> <br />D. Maximum illuminance levels. For commercial and industrial uses, the maximum <br />power for a light source shall not exceed 50,000 initial light output lumens. For <br />residential uses, the maximum power for a light source shall not exceed 30,000 initial <br />light output lumens. <br /> <br />E. Maximum height. Light poles or mounted lights shall not exceed a height of 35 feet. <br />For properties that abut a residential use, light poles or mounted lights shall not exceed a <br />height of 20 feet when within 50 feet of the property line. <br /> <br />F. Exceptions. The lighting standards in this section shall not apply to the following <br />types of exterior lighting: <br /> <br />1. Flagpoles. Illumination of the national or state flag is permitted with no more than <br />two (2) upward aimed fully shielded spotlight fixtures. <br /> <br />2. Temporary lighting. Temporary lighting for sporting events and civic events. <br /> <br />3. Holiday decorations. Outdoor light fixtures used for holiday decorations. <br /> <br />4. Right-of-way lighting. Public lighting located within and intended for the right- <br />of-way. <br /> <br />5. Public safety lighting. Temporary lighting for police, fire, or public safety <br />construction and repair personnel. <br /> <br />6. Required lighting. Any lighting required and regulated by the Federal Aviation <br />Administration or other federal, state, or local agency. <br /> <br /> <br />
