Tree Preservation – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The applicant has indicated that no significant trees will be impacted as a result of the <br />newly constructed parking area. However, if the project results in the removal of any <br />significant trees within the site the applicant would be required to meet the City’s tree <br />preservation standards, and mitigation may be necessary. <br /> <br />E. Lighting – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The proposed modification to the property does not include new exterior lighting to be <br />installed. However, if new exterior lighting is added to the site the lighting plan would <br />require approval by both the City and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department. All <br />exterior lighting is required to meet the standards within Section 1325.50 Subd. 3 of the <br />City’s Zoning Code. <br /> <br />F. Planting Islands – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />In Section 1325.05 of the Zoning Code planting islands are required to occupy at least ten <br />(10) percent of the parking area. Parking lot islands are also required to be a minimum of <br />150 square feet in area. The planting island plan that has been provided by the applicant <br />in Attachment C indicates that these requirements have been met. The new parking area <br />as proposed includes 600 square feet of parking island area, which is approximately <br />10.84% of the new parking area. <br /> <br />G. Trees Along Street Frontage – Meets Requirements <br /> <br />The Zoning Code states in Section 1325.05 that a minimum of one tree shall be provide <br />along the right-of-way for every fifty (50) feet of public street frontage.
