Along with the improvements to the roadway, Arden Hills has
asked that the trail on the east side of Lexington Avenue be continued southerly to the on/off
ramps on the north side of I-694. This is a location where pedestrians can safely cross Lexington
Avenue at the traffic signal to get to or from the pedestrian crossing on the east side of the
bridge.

A small portion of this trail extension will be built within the I-694 right-of-way. Ramsey
County will be applying for a Limited Use Permit to construct this portion of the new trail within
MnDOT right-of-way. The permit submittal requires a resolution from the City stating they will
operate and maintain the facility within the MnDOT right-of-way.

Attached is Resolution 2015-005 which is in the format suggested by MnDOT. Staff would
recommend adoption of Resolution 2015-005.

Attachments

Attachment A: Resolution 2015-005

CONSENT AGENDA – 5D

MEMORANDUM
