Within this district a <br />maximum sign copy area of 25 square feet, a total sign area of 37.5 square feet, and a height <br />of 8 feet is permitted. The total area of a freestanding sign (including sign copy, decorative <br />features, and structural supports) must be no more than 1.5 times the permitted sign copy <br />area. Since the site fronts two public streets (Red Fox Road and Interstate 694), the property <br />is allowed an additional freestanding sign provided that the sign does not exceed half the size <br />of the maximum sign area allowed for a freestanding sign in this district. <br /> <br />The Sign Code does not include specific design standards for freestanding signs in this <br />District. However, the applicant is proposing a high quality monument sign designed and <br />constructed with materials and colors to complement or match the main structures on the site. <br />The sign copy area is proposed to be constructed with custom metal panels for each tenant <br />with the base to be constructed with a precast material to match the principal buildings on the <br />site. Internal lighting would be used to illuminate the freestanding monument sign. <br /> <br />The applicant has not proposed freestanding monument signage over and above what is <br />permitted within the Sign Code. The applicant has proposed a monument sign with a sign <br />copy area of 25 square feet, a total sign area of 37.5 square feet, and a height of 6 feet 10 <br />inches. For the additional signage details please review page A3.1 and A3.2 of the plan set. <br /> <br />B.
