ARDEN HILLS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION – FEBRUARY 23, 2015 2 Public Works Director Maurer reported that the Code would require the installation of barrier style concrete curb and gutter. Councilmember Woodburn requested further information on how the TCAAP site would be graded and asked if additional soil could be brought in. Public Works Director Maurer explained how the site would be graded according to approved plans. He noted that up to 50 yards of soil can be brought in to individual lots without a grading permit. Mayor Pro-Tem McClung encouraged the Council to keep the TRC uniform with other zoning requirements throughout the City. Public Works Director Maurer explained that staff would continue to work on this document and would bring it back before the Council for further review and approval. 2. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND STAFF UPDATES Public Works Director Maurer reported that he has been in conversation with Fourth Dimension regarding the gateway sign at Cleveland/County Road D. He noted that the sign would be removed and repainted Arden Hills tan and the logo color changed to green. In addition, staff received a proposal to change the brick, which would cost the City approximately $2,200. Mayor Pro-Tem McClung was ambivalent regarding this matter. Councilmember Holden stated that she missed the meeting at which this gateway sign was previously discussed. Public Works Director Maurer stated that he would ask Fourth Dimension for brick color samples and bring them to an upcoming work session for further consideration. City Administrator Klaers reviewed the proposed agenda for the February 24th special City Council work session agenda.
