On February 25, 2015, the City <br />received notice that a grant in the amount of $100,000 was approved by the PEIG Review <br />Committee to assist in the purchase of recycling carts for the Arden Hills Recycling Program. <br /> <br /> <br />Timeline <br /> <br />• February 23 – City approves five (5) year recycling contract with Republic Services. <br />• February 25 – City received notice of the PEIG approval for $100,000. <br />• March 16 – Council approves recycling cart design and directs staff to place cart order. <br />• March 18 – Order is placed for residential recycling carts. <br />• March 30 – Council to approve the purchase of residential recycling carts. <br />• April 20-24 – Carts are delivered to Arden Hills from Cascade Engineering. <br />• April 27-May 1 – Carts are distributed by Republic Services to City residents. <br />• May 5 & 6– First collection with Republic Services. <br /> <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />A) Resolution 2015-023 – Purchase of Recycling Carts <br />B) Recycling Cart Quote – Cascade Engineering <br />C) Recycling Cart Design <br />D) Draft City Council Work Session Minutes – March 16, 2015
