The company’s multidisciplinary staff of <br />nearly 5,000 employee-owners includes engineers, architects, construction professionals, planners, <br />estimators, economists, technicians, and scientists, representing virtually all design disciplines. <br />1.3. Center for Energy and the Environment <br />The Center for Energy and Environment is a nonprofit organization that promotes energy efficiency to <br />strengthen the economy while improving the environment. CEE conducts research and develops <br />programs so that: businesses operate more efficiently and profitably; government agencies and <br />nonprofits spend less on facilities and functions; utilities achieve their energy-efficiency goals at least- <br />cost; and households save money and improve comfort. <br />1.4. Fresh Energy <br />For more than 20 years, Fresh Energy has transformed widely held economic and environmental ideas <br />into smart energy policy. Fresh Energy works in the realm of public policy, changing the rules that <br />govern our energy system. The organization’s efforts focus on energy efficiency, clean energy, <br />transportation and land use, and carbon reduction.
