Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1B <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: June 15, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> <br /> <br />FROM: Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> Sue Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: 2016 – 2020 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />Provide feedback to staff on Preliminary Proposed 2016 – 2020 CIP Plan. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Annually the City prepares a five (5) year Capital Improvement Plan for budgeting and <br />forecasting. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />A preliminary plan has been prepared and is attached along with a summary of projects, <br />detailed sheets on each project and their proposed funding sources, a report showing the <br />projects by funding source, and a sheet projecting the fund balances in each of the funds <br />(since the operating budgets have not yet been completed, these fund balances included <br />estimated operating costs). <br /> <br />The majority of changes are in the Public Works area, a memo from Terry Maurer is <br />attached for your reference on the major changes to that area.
