Moore; Parks & Recreation Director <br /> SUBJECT: 2001 Water Tower Maintenance <br /> Background <br /> At the City Council meeting of January 8, 2001, the Arden Hills City Council authorized <br /> staff to accept the proposal from AEC Engineering to provide the City with their services <br /> for water tower maintenance. <br /> Those services included: <br /> • Specifications for the tower maintenance project <br /> • Bid Administration <br /> • Necessary forms and documents <br /> • Field inspection <br /> • Recommendation to the City to accept the project <br /> The Tower Maintenance Project for 2001 <br /> The tower maintenance project for 2001 will consist of; cleaning, repairing and painting <br /> of the North Tower. The North Tower is a 500, 000-Gallon Hydropillar. The North <br /> Tower is currently painted `Arden Hills Tan'. In addition a safety ladder(ladder <br /> modifications)will be installed on the South Tower. The South Tower is a 1.0 MMG <br /> Hydropillar. The South Tower is currently painted blue. Two options were included in <br /> the maintenance project as well. Option A is placing the new City Logo on the North <br /> Tower and Option B is placing the new City Logo on the South Tower. The maintenance <br /> project will start on or before June 4, 2001 and be completed on or before July 6, 2001. <br /> Bid Process <br /> A pre-bid conference was held on April 10, 2001. The bid opening was held on April 19, <br /> 2001.
