City of Arden Hills – 2030 Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Approved: September 28, 2009 <br />E-2 <br /> <br /> <br />Sanitary sewer in Arden Hills flows into MCES interceptors, which deliver the <br />waste to the Pigs Eye Wastewater Treatment Plant in Saint Paul. Operated by <br />the MCES, this plant received 332.9 million gallons from the City of Arden Hills in <br />2014. This amount has been relatively consistent on an annual basis; however, <br />flows vary on a monthly basis due to seasonal weather patterns. The last five <br />years of MCES total metered flow from Arden Hills (million gallons / year) are as <br />follows: <br /> Year Volume <br />2010 314 MG <br /> 2011 348 MG <br />2012 270 MG <br />2013 302 MG <br />2014 333 MG <br /> <br />The City operates and maintains 14 sanitary sewer lift stations. Since 1990, 13 <br />of these have been replaced or rehabilitated. The last lift station to be <br />rehabilitated (lift station 11) is scheduled as a 2016 Capital Improvement. All of <br />these facilities require around the clock monitoring. All lift stations are connected <br />via monitoring equipment that allows for data collection and remote monitoring <br />capability. One new sanitary sewer lift station is proposed to serve the portion of <br />TCAAP located south of County Road H. This lift station will be installed as a <br />part of the first phase of the proposed development. <br /> <br />A list of the lift stations is included below in Table E.1.
