UNFINISHED BUSINESS – 9B <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: July 13, 2015 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Iverson, Director of Finance and Administrative Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: City Administrator Recruitment Process <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council has received a letter from Patrick Klaers, City Administrator, announcing his intent to <br />retire from the City on October 2, 2015. The City Administrator had previously announced his intentions at <br />a work session on June 29, 2015. The Personnel Committee met on June 30, 2015 and instructed staff to get <br />proposals from two firms. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Staff has received one proposal and will receive the other proposal after the publication of this agenda. Both <br />will be provided as handouts at the Council Meeting on July 13, 2015. The Council may choose how it <br />would like to proceed with this process. <br />
