MEMORANDUM <br />DATE:July 13, 2015 <br /> <br />TO:Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br />FROM:Patrick Klaers, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT:Retirement <br />During the June 29, 2015 , City Council special work session, I ann ounced my intention <br />to leave the Arden Hills City Administrator position and retire effective at the end of the <br />work day on October 2, 2015. <br />At this time , I want to forma lly submit my retirement letter and review with the City <br />Council my work schedule for the next 12 weeks. This memo is intended to also serv e as <br />my 30- day notice to the City Council to terminate both the Amendment to Employment <br />Agreement (dated March 9, 2015) and the original Employment Agreement (dated April <br />26, 2010). <br />I will continue working under the terms of the Amendment to Employment Agreement <br />document for the next seven (7) weeks which will be until September 1 , 2015. At that <br />time, the Amendment will be terminated. <br />Beginning on September 1 , 2015, I will revert back to the terms of the original <br />Employment Agreement until the end of the October 2, 2015 , work day. At that tim e, I <br />will be officially retired.
