A concerted effort for a <br /> period of one year will not reach this goal. However,by continuing the same or similar <br /> marketing activities for many years does make an impact. We recommend that North <br /> Branch not consider the above marketing plan as a one time fix,but a template for future <br /> business development activities. Additionally, North Branch has the opportunity to <br /> partner with Chisago County and the State of Minnesota in their marketing. These <br /> opportunities may provide economy of scale that may not be available to North Branch <br /> alone. <br /> To reach the prospects is only one component of marketing. Another is customer service <br /> through timeliness, follow through, and current professional materials. The process <br /> needs to be consistent from project to project. This helps staff, appointed and elected <br /> officials in evaluating and comparing projects. It also eliminates any perception of <br /> unequal treatment. <br /> The development of the power point presentation, web site and fact sheets enhance the <br /> level of professionalism used to address business inquiries and concerns. To assist with <br /> the timeliness of response to business inquiries a checklist has been developed for staff <br /> use. The checklist will maintain a record of when the inquiry was made, pertinent <br /> contact information,project scope, and what information was distributed and when. <br /> Additional outcome measures will need to be developed to evaluate the effectiveness of <br /> the Marketing Program. These measures can include the number of contacts made, <br /> information requests filled, site tours conducts, and business relocations and expansions. <br /> By utilizing the checklist and marketing tools to respond to the inquiries generated by the <br /> marketing plan, North Branch will be able to maintain and grow a healthy economic <br /> system. <br /> North Branch Marketing Plan Page 7 <br />
