(The Arden Hills Club), Flaherty's <br />• Arden Bowl, and Lindey's Prime Steak House. <br />Two of Pemtom's Performance Bonds were released in full granting final approval of the items covered by <br />'them. A third bond, S-1297, was reduced to $30,000 to cover incomplete items. <br />A Joint -powers agreement with Ramsey County regarding the Lambros Ditch proposal will be entered into. <br />This would also include the Villages of Shoreview and Roseville. <br />Village Treasurer Richard O'Kelly reported the following investments: $125,000 for 3 months at 9.2% (First <br />National), $175,000 for 90 days at 9.2% (First National), $20,000 for 90 days at 7.29% disc. (Roseville). <br />Waiver of license fees for vending machines were waived for Valentine Hills Elementary School (one), Lake <br />Johanna Elementary School (one), and Presbyterian Homes (two). Similar license fees involving two machines <br />located at the Minnesota State Agency for Surplus Property, operated by Services for the Blind, were not <br />waived because these are profitable business ventures. <br />The Lake Johanna Volunteer Fire Department has requested that Arden Hills, Shoreview, and North Oaks <br />approve the purchase of a one hundred foot aerial ladder truck from the American Fire Apparatus Company at <br />'an approximate bid of $134,000 This was the 22.1y bid received. Mr. Buresch, consultant indicated that a <br />one hundred foot ladder truck is desirable and he estimated a cost of $75,000. Ladder trucks purchased by <br />other suburban communities have cost less than $100,000 but Fire Chief Fischer doesn't feel these are satis- <br />factory for our department and the communities to be served. The Council approved the concept of need for <br />a one hundred foot aerial ladder truck for the Lake Johanna Fire Department subject to at least three bids <br />being received on general area -wide specifications and designating someone as Arden Hills management <br />representative for design specifications input. <br />
