Arden Manor (mobile home court at Highways 96 and t0) residents staged several protest
demonstrations recently. Due to financial problems the promised recreation building,
tennis courts and swimming pool have not been built. Residents also complain of water
pressure problems in the summer and snow plowing problems in the winter. Arden Manor
is a privately owned enterprise with private sewer and water systems and private roads,
and because of this unless proven health or safety hazards exist, the Arden Hills Council
has no authority to act on the issue. Unfortunately however, the financial difficulties
of the Manor are reflected'in the day to day lives of its residents, and we hope current
court proceedings will influence changes which will ease burdens and bitterness ......
All Committees are currently working on budgets for 1977 which are'to be submitted to
Clerk/Administrator Charlotte McNiesh by mid-August. If you have comments or'questions
contact individual Committee Chairmen.....
And speaking of Mrs. McNiesh, a public thank -you here for the patient, efficient help
she gives each month to the Crier, verifying facts, figures and dates, answering ques-
tions, tracking down information. In fact, were it not for the tremendous cooperation
of all Village officials and employees, this paper wouldn't happen ...... so, thank you,
all!
