NOTE CHANGE IN VOTING PLACE FOR <br />PRECINCT 1 VOTERS. <br />Precinct 1 - Vote at Valentine Hills School <br />(Formerly you voted at the Vil- <br />lage Hall.) <br />Precinct 2 - Vote at Lake Johanna Elementary <br />School. <br />Precinct 3 - Vote at the Village Hall. <br />• Correction in registration procedures as des- <br />cribed in last month's Crier: If you wait to <br />register on September 14 it is then necessary <br />to bring with you on that date proof of iden- <br />tity and residency. However, if you pre - <br />register before September 14 (either by call- <br />ing the Village Hall requesting a registration form or by stopping in per- <br />sonally to obtain it), this proof of residency is not required. Register <br />any weekday at the Village Hall, or during the extra hours the Hall will be <br />open for this purpose: Saturday, August 21, 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and on <br />August 23 and 24 until 9:00 P.M.). If you are doubtful which is your voting <br />precinct, call the Village Hall, 633-5676. <br />The 1970 official census set Arden Hills' population at 5,149; current, un- <br />official count is 6,155 residents. Some reasons why ..... <br />...... The Villages at Pemtom (the only Town House/Condominium development <br />in Arden Hills) now has approximately 270 units occupied. When development <br />is completed, there will be 306 units, total. (Pemtom expects all these <br />306 units to be occupied by April -May of 1977.) Some interesting statistics <br />were supplied by Pemtom management - The average age of residents is 35.3 <br />years; 71% of the owners are married (guess that leaves 29% single, doesn't <br />it?). There are .54 children per unit. Twenty-one percent of the children <br />' are under five years of age; 35% ages 5-11; 19% ages 12-15; 13% ages 16-18 <br />and 15% are 19 and older. <br />' ...... Re the 21 -lot Karth Lake residential development, Council is still <br />contemplating details prior to giving final approval. However, Indian Oaks <br />II (14 lots) now has two houses under construction. (A -utility assessment <br />' hearing on this area will be held at the August 23 Council meeting). <br />
