THE STATE LAW <br />The Minnesota Human Rights Act (363.03) prohibits discrimination in the areas of: <br />• Employment <br />• Housing <br />• Public Accommodation <br />• Public Services <br />• Education <br />because of race, color, creed, religion, national origins, sex and disability. <br />THE ARDEN HILLS LAW <br />Village of Arden Hills Ordinance No. 105, passed May 27, 1968 established a Village <br />Human Rights Commission. The purpose of the Commission is to assist the Village <br />Council and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights in: <br />• Implementing the Minnesota State Act against discrimination <br />• Advising the Village Council on long-range programs to improve community <br />relations. <br />WHO? <br />Your Human Rights Commission is comprised of ten (10) members — all residents of the <br />community and appointed by your Village Council.
