ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—NOVEMBER 30, 2015 4 <br /> MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to approve the Consent Calendar as amended to authorize execution <br /> of all necessary documents contained therein. The motion carried <br /> unanimously (3-0). <br /> 7. PULLED CONSENT ITEMS <br /> None. <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> None. <br /> 9. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Accept Resignation of Pam Sweeney and Authorize Staff to Advertise for the <br /> Position <br /> Mayor Grant reviewed the letter of resignation submitted by Pam Sweeney noting that her last <br /> day with the City will be December 31, 2015. He wished her well in her retirement and requested <br /> that the Council accept the letter and authorize staff to advertise for the position. <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember McClung seconded a motion to <br /> accept the Resignation of Pam Sweeney and Authorize Staff to Advertise for <br /> the Position. <br /> Councilmember McClung wished Ms. Sweeney a long and healthy retirement. <br /> The motion carried unanimously (3-0). <br /> 10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> A. CenturyLink Franchise Agreement <br /> Mayor Grant requested comment from staff regarding the CenturyLink Franchise Agreement <br /> Acting City Administrator Iverson discussed the CenturyLink Franchise Agreement in detail <br /> with the Council. She reported that Arden Hills is one of nine member cities in the North <br /> Suburban Cable Commission. She reviewed the franchise agreement timeline noting that <br /> CenturyLink is seeking approval from each of the nine member cities. She noted that the City <br /> Council held a public hearing for the CenturyLink Franchise in October. <br /> Staff discussed the agreement further and recommended approval by the City Council. <br /> Councilmember Holmes requested further information on Attachment C. <br />
