<br />N:\Proposals\Arden Hills\Lift Station 11\lift station 11 proposal ltr.doc <br /> <br /> <br />December 11, 2015 <br /> <br />John Anderson, P.E. <br />Acting Public Works Director / City Engineer <br />City of Arden Hills <br />1245 West Highway 96 <br />Arden Hills, MN 55112-5743 <br /> <br />Re: Lift Station 11 <br /> Arden Hills, Minnesota <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Anderson, <br /> <br />Thank you for providing us this opportunity to assist you with the replacement plans for Lift Station 11. <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. has the technical expertise, experience and resources to complete this project for <br />the City and we appreciate your consideration. <br /> <br />Based on the information we discussed during our meeting on November 19, 2015 the project will <br />consist of the following major components: <br /> <br />• Replacement of the existing wet well/dry well lift station <br />• Installation of a new precast lift station and valve vault <br />• Installation of two, new submersible pumps <br />• New control panel and SCADA equipment <br />• Miscellaneous piping and site work <br /> <br />We have identified three (3) tasks in order to complete the work as described above. A summary of the <br />tasks are described below. <br /> <br />Task 1 – Preliminary Design Phase <br />• Kickoff meeting <br />• Assemble and review existing site data (surveys, preliminary plans, as-built information, etc.) <br />• Topographic survey <br />• Geotechnical evaluation <br />• Complete preliminary design summary <br /> <br />Task 2 – Final Design/Bidding Phase <br />• Prepare final plans and specifications <br />• Design review meetings with City staff <br />• Construction cost estimates
