ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 26, 2002 7 <br />� <br />I� <br />Council Member Aplikowski indicated she had a concern with the pay scales. She <br />expressed concern about some people receiving substantial increases, while others <br />were not, and asked who required the City to be in compliance. <br />Mr. Lynch replied if they were not in compliance, the City would be subject to <br />State penalties. <br />Council Member Grant stated he was concerned that it appeared three people <br />made up half of the pay increases. He asked if the LRA point scale was accurate <br />with respect to these positions. <br />Council Member Larson pointed out that they were still below tihe average for the <br />three positions Council Member Grant was questioning. <br />Council Member Aplikowski expressed concern that they would need to raise the <br />levy if this was approved. <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded a motion to continue the meeting until 10:30 p.m. The <br />motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded to approve the City of Arden Hills Job descriptions as <br />presented by the LRA. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded to approve the Job Evaluation System Points, which <br />correspond with the City of Arden Hills Job Descriptions, as, <br />presented by the LRA. The motion carried (4-0-1 Council Member <br />Grant). <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded to approve the Pay Equity compliant LRA 2003 Salary <br />Compensation Implementation Plan, which indicates employees be <br />compensated in 2003 at their current step level. The motion carried <br />(4-0-1 Council Member Rem). <br />
