ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JANUARY 11, 2016 4 <br /> <br />Councilmember McClung reported that the City received seven applications for the open <br />Council seat. He noted that the City Council was in the middle of conducting interviews of these <br />candidates and that he looked forward to completing this process and having the Council back up <br />to a full complement of five members. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes indicated that she attended a ribbon cutting ceremony last Friday at the <br />AHATS site. She stated that she is in favor of the City improving its relationship with the Beyond <br />the Yellow Ribbon organization in 2016. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated that he also attended the ribbon cutting ceremony on the AHATS property <br />where a Readiness Building for the 834th Aviation Battalion was dedicated. He enjoyed the event <br />and encouraged the public to tour this new facility. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant reported that he met with the neighboring five mayors recently. He discussed a <br />development that would be coming to Shoreview in 2016. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant thanked Councilmember McClung for serving as Mayor Pro-Tem in 2015. He <br />announced that Councilmember Holden would be serving as Mayor Pro-Tem in 2016. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to <br />adjourn.
