ARDEN HILLS CIT'Y COUNCIL — October 25, 2010 9 <br />8. A. Resolution 2010-D52 Disapproving Municipal Consent for I-694/THSI Mn/DOT <br />� Improvement (continued) <br />Councilmember Grant asked if language should be added to Item 8, Exhibit A, to indicate the <br />City does not want the bridge to be narrowed. <br />Public Works Director Maurer stated this language could be added. <br />Councilmember Grant stated at this time it was not necessary to add any language. <br />The amended motion was called to a vote. <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br />9. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND REQUESTS <br />Councilmember Holmes thanked Mark Lindeberg and Wayne Norris from Mn/DOT for <br />attending the meeting and working with the City. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated she has received an e-mail from a resident concerning problem <br />that occurred with his address. She stated the City and County need to address the prohlem that <br />there are addresses in the City that are not on maps, or are known by more than one name, or are <br />. not known by those individuals that are responsibie for dispatching emergency services. She also <br />stated the speed limit in the area of Lake Valentine Road and Old Highway 10 needs to be <br />assessed. The speed limit is 45 mph and this is too fast for pedestrians and children in this area <br />City Administrator Klaers stated this can be brought to the Council at a future work session and <br />he will also be meeting with the Fire Chief on this topic. Also, the contracted cities (Sheriffls <br />Department) group will be meeting later in the week and can discuss this issue at that time. <br />Counciimember Grant asked for an update on the construction progress on the trail on <br />Lexington Avenue and the CP Rail Bridge. <br />Pubiic Works Director Maurer stated the concrete has been poured on the trail on Lexington <br />Avenue. This project is expected to be completed earIy next week. The contract will remain open <br />untii next year so the City can assess the vegetation that will be planted. The CP Rail project will <br />be completed by mid-November. The contractor has had an issue with the anchors and needs to <br />install more than what was originally planned. The trait should be ready to pave in about a week <br />to ten days. <br />Councilmember Grant stated the Council had requested a study be done on SneIling Avenue <br />North, south of Lindy's. He asked if this study had been completed and if it included the Rice <br />Creek Water shed. <br />� <br />
