The <br /> remaining open permits are 83 mechanical permits, 57 plumbing permits, 33 electrical permits, <br /> 28 fire permits, 25 water permits, twelve zoning permits, ten sewer permits, and five sign <br /> permits. All of the construction permits that are over two years old have been closed out or are <br /> considered active. In addition, all permits in the old permitting software PTWIN have been <br /> closed out. <br /> Sump Pump Inspections <br /> iAs part of the Inflow and Infiltration Program, staff completed all sump pump inspections in <br /> Zone 2. To date over two thirds of all residential properties in the City have been inspected. In <br /> addition, Staff completed inspections for all commercial buildings in the City. Zone 3 residential <br /> inspections will continue through 2011. <br /> Code Enforcement <br /> There were 277 Code Enforcement cases in 2010. Of that total, 258 cases were completed and <br /> closed, leaving 19 pending cases. The majority of those pending cases are for unpermitted work <br /> and situations that still require monitoring. No citations were issued by City staff. Three <br /> abatement orders were approved by City Council, and two were successfully carried out. The <br /> third was taken care of by the property owners prior to the City completing the abatement. In <br /> addition,the abatement of the hazardous structure at 3150 Hamline Avenue was completed. <br /> The majority of complaints in 2010, revolved around the placement of signs in the Right of Way; <br /> with 112 complaints, this represented 40 percent of complaints for the year.
