• 14.The Norma Ave- Floral Park trail section was redone & a storm <br /> water management pond created to control water levels in the <br /> area. <br /> 15.New trail sections added at Crepeau Park. <br /> 16.Six new benches installed in City parks. <br /> 17.Three City flower Gardens were converted to Perennials. <br /> 18.Completed first year of winter plowing of all paved trails. <br /> 19.Installed an ice skating trail at Valentine Park. <br /> 20.Second year of the Buckthorn pick-up program. This program <br /> had 59 pickups in 2003, up from 19 in 2002. <br /> 21.Planted 27 trees in City Parks. <br /> 22.Completed five Boy Scout Eagle Award projects which resulted <br /> in the following park/trail improvements; <br /> a. 75 bird/habitat house built & installed <br /> b. 400+ perennial flowers planted. <br /> c. Buckthorn removal at Crepeau Park. <br /> 23.Completed two prairie grass controlled burns at Crepeau Park & <br /> City Hall. <br /> III. Staff Training <br /> 1. The following Staff acquired new Licenses; <br /> Scott Freyberger- City Water <br /> Aaron Andrews - City Water <br /> 2. The following Staff renewed their Licenses; <br /> Joe Mooney- Sanitary Sewer & City Water <br /> Pete Saxe- City Water <br /> Dave Winkel- Tree Inspector <br /> Scott Freyberger- Tree Inspector <br /> Jim Perron- Sanitary Sewer & City Water <br /> 3. The following training seminars were attended by Staff; <br /> Traffic work zone safety <br /> Sweeper School <br /> Vactor School <br /> Sanitary Sewer TV/Video <br /> Storm Water Management Practices <br /> Lift Station Management <br /> Hazardous Material Handling <br /> Asphalt Repair/Pot Hole Patching <br /> 4. In addition, 26 safety videos were viewed by Staff. <br /> 5. Third year for the Labor Management Committee(LMC) <br />
