The name chosen for a facility should not readily lend <br /> itself to unwanted abbreviations, acronyms or nicknames. <br /> II. Naminq a New Facility <br /> A. The naming process for a proposed new major facility shall <br /> begin during the design phase of construction after the <br /> facility has been approved for inclusion in the County's <br /> five-year capital improvement program. <br /> B. The commission, board, or advisory board that is directly <br /> connected to the department whose services will be <br /> provided in the proposed facility is responsible.- -for <br /> recommending a name and submitting it, alonq with <br /> justification, to the commissioner in whose district the <br /> facility ' is--' , located fot 'review and comment. The <br /> re�commendat ions of the commissioner and the - commission, <br /> board, or advisory board will be forwarded (by the <br /> department whose services will be provided in the proposed <br /> facility) to the County Board for consideration. <br /> C. If there is no commission, board, or advisory board <br /> directly connected to the department whose services will <br /> be provided in the proposed new facility, it shall be the <br /> responsibility of the Capital Improvement Program Citizens <br /> Advisory Committee (CIPAC) to recommend a name and submit <br /> it under the same process noted in II.B. above. <br /> D.
