RAMSEY COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> May 10, 2005 <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> 2015 NORTH VAN DYKE STREET <br /> MAPLEWOOD, MN 55109 <br /> Main Floor Conference Room <br /> The regular meeting of the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Commission was called to <br /> order by Chair Hanson at 6:00 p.m., at the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department, <br /> 2015 North Van Dyke Street, Maplewood, Minnesota. <br /> Members Present: Deb Falkowski, Michele Hanson, Jonathon Kusa, Gale Pederson, Richard <br /> Straumann and Elyssa Weber <br /> Members Absent: Terry Huntrods, Phil Jenni and JoAnne Van Guilder <br /> Staff Present: Greg Mack, Larry Holmberg and Cheryl Johnson <br /> •APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Chair Hanson asked for a motion to approve the agenda. Ms. Pederson moved, seconded by <br /> Mr. Straumann, that the agenda be approved. Motion carried. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Chair Hanson asked for a motion to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2005 meeting. Mr. <br /> Kusa moved, seconded by Ms. Pederson, that the minutes of the April 12, 2005 meeting <br /> be approved as mailed. Motion carried. <br /> BRUCE VENTO REGIONAL TRAIL ALIGNMENT <br /> Mr. Mack showed a copy of the trail alignment plan (Beam Avenue to Buerkle Road) provided <br /> by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. A draft agreement for the County Road D realignment has <br /> been prepared between Ramsey County, City of Maplewood, Xcel Energy, Burlington Northern- <br /> Santa Fe Railroad, Minnesota Commercial Railroad and the Ramsey County Regional Railroad <br /> Authority. This agreement will be presented to the County Board for approval. <br /> PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS AT TAMARACK NATURE CENTER <br /> Mr. Mack said the department is working on two partnership programs at Tamarack Nature <br /> Center: ' <br /> • White Bear Council for the Arts — Tamarack Nature Center has been the venue for <br /> several of their programs. Classrooms have been offered on a rental basis. Beginning <br /> this summer, joint day camp programs will be offered each Friday morning. <br />
