EXISTING FACILITIES AND SERVICE AREAS <br />Facilities <br />Arden Hills has over 145 acres of City -owned parks and open space within its <br />borders, along with approximately 208 acres of land in the Tony Schmidt Lake <br />Johanna County Park (See Table 5.1). The City system includes (See Figure 5.1): <br />0 7 small parks ranging from 1 acre to 5 acres in size <br />0 4 neighborhood parks ranging from 12-20 acres in size <br />0 2 natural areas totaling 55.5 acres <br />Trails extend through portions of the City's neighborhoods, both off -road and on - <br />road as shown on Figure 5.1. <br />Service Areas <br />Residents are typically able and willing to walk 1/4 to 1/2 mile to reach a <br />neighborhood park. Figure 5.2 shows 1/4 and 1/2-mile service areas for <br />neighborhood parks in the City.
