Parks and Recreation Committee Minutes <br />October 26, 1999 <br />Page 2 <br />upcoming months. A buckthorn removal project was also suggested. <br />Other Items for Discussion. <br />Several committee members suggested having a worksession meeting to go over basic documents <br />such as budget, long-range plan, and comprehensive plan. As noted above, Don Messerly and <br />other committee members again volunteered to collect documents from past projects for the <br />committee's review. <br />Michelle requested volunteers to assist with Friday's "pumpkin hunt" event that has been fully <br />enrolled and is still short of help, Several committee members volunteered to show up. <br />Council Report. <br />Lois Rem reported on recent council actions concerning the hiring of a new administrator, Joe <br />Lynch, beginning with Arden Hills on November 10; a recent presentation by Ramsey County <br />concerning structures at Tony Schmidt Park; upcoming council vacancy; and upcoming <br />discussions with the County about Highways 10 and 96. She noted that the city is actively seeking <br />volunteers to work on the Events Task Force for the 2001 anniversary. <br />10. Adjourn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:43 p.m. <br />�J <br />
